Dog-friendly Walk in Gleninchaquin Valley and Waterfall

45.00

Categories:,

Uragh Stone Circle, Cloonee Lakes, Gleninchaquin Park and Waterfall, Famine cottage, Mountain lakes, Mountain trail over the top of the waterfall withspectacularr views of the Valley, Lakes and Kenmare bay. Water garden and rockpools.

Dogs are allowed in this park and are welcomed on this walk, but of course must be kept on a lead, as there is livestock grazing in the park. During the sheep shearing season, demonstrations take place in the park, which show and preserve the old traditional methods.
We first visit a Thatched Famine cottage, before rising up over the waterfall along the mountain trail. We can then fully appreciate the beautiful landscape of the park, its lakes, and mountains, to Kenmare Bay and the Wild Atlantic beyond. Returning to ground level, we can then take the opportunity to rest and review the day’s walk over a well-earned tea or coffee back at the park’s base.

Bring short dog lead, which is not extendible and a dog-poo bag.
